One Sunday morning, I had a craving for French Toast. I got out all of the ingredients but then realized that I didn’t have any bread. What to do?? Well, lo and behold I noticed that I had a couple of croissants, and this recipe was born. I hope you enjoy it.
Ingredients
- 5 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbs vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cardamon, or to taste
- 1 tsp cinnamon, or to taste
- 2 Tbs heavy whipping cream
- 2 croissants, cut into thirds
Directions
- Heat oil to 350 degrees in heavy bottom or cast-iron pan.
- Using an immersion blender, mix all ingredients except for the croissants
- Once fully mixed, soak the cut croissants in the batter.
- Gently remove croissants from batter and deep fry until golden brown.
- Serve with warmed syrup, butter, and/or powdered sugar.

- 1 heavy bottom or cast iron pan
- 1 immersion blender
