Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup champagne
  • 1 lb sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 lb tri-color rotini
  • 5 tsp sodium citrate
  • ½ Tbsp granulated garlic or to taste
  • 8 slices thick bacon cooked & chopped
  • 1 medium fresh jalapeno chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Boil pasta according to package directions
  • In a medium saucepan, heat the milk, water & champagne until it starts to simmer, do not let it boil.
  • Add the cheese, sodium citrate, garlic, salt and pepper.  Continue stirring until cheese is completely melted.  
  • Once cheese is melted, add bacon and jalapeno.
  • Add drained pasta and serve.
