Tired of the same old grilled cheese sandwich?  Looking for something different?  Well look no further.  This sandwich will blow you away.  This sandwich is very rich.  I recommend serving it with a salad with your vinaigrette dressing.  The dressing will help cut through the richness.

Ingredients

  • Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • Jam of choice, such as Raspberry, Strawberry, Blackberry, etc
  • 1 slice of Gouda Cheese
  • 1 slice Vampire Slayer Cheese
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • Butter

Directions

  • Butter one side of each piece of bread
  • Press the parmesan cheese into the butter.  The more parmesan the better!
  • Lay both pieces of bread on a cold non-stick frypan.
  • Add the gouda cheese to one piece of bread and the vampire cheese to the other slice.
  • Add the jam to one side of bread
  • Cover the frypan with either a lid or tin foil and turn the heat to medium low to medium.
  • After 3-4 minutes, take a peek under the bread to see if it is toasted.  If not, let sit a couple more minutes.  The gouda & vampire cheese should be melting.
  • Once parmesan is golden brown, assemble the sandwich.
